It was a bit chilly around here today (relatively speaking; those of you who are in the north, feel free to snicker), and I was working on a report for my volunteer job until well past the warmest bit of the day. So, I decided to use the apartment treadmill rather than face the cold and dark of the great outdoors.

Since I only ran two miles, it wasn't so bad. Running on the treadmill means I have to keep a consistent pace, which I have trouble with outside, and also gives me a chance to think about my form. Over and over I told my self to relax my shoulders, keep my knees apart, head up, and core engaged. It was a nice two miles.

Two miles on the dreadmill was all for today! Tomorrow I actually have somewhere to go, so I expect to put in at least 12 miles on the bicycle.

@JannePerry: Two miles is about my limit on the dreadmill. I've been known to do four or five, but it rarely ends well.

@Inkedpetals45: I think I'm a hilarious sight walking when it's chilly b/c I put on so many layers!

I really dislike the dreadmill--it is good for that pace keeping, but I'm with you, I'd rather be outside!
