In just 19 days... day #4

Day 4 – 16 days to go

Man oh man, I did not want to get out of bed this am. Winds howling all night and I could hear the waves from Lake Ontario crashing along the shore. Took me a while to get to sleep and even then I got up again around midnight.

Dreamt of mum; she had come back, hugged, etc. there were witnesses, might have been my workplace? and then I advised her that I threw out all her clothes… that’s alright, and off she went … friends/collegues happy for me and I too was happy but left wondering about the funeral/burial…

Dragged myself out of bed and caught the 7:53 train. Remembered to call nursing home to remind them to move dad’s patch and apply leg cream. I sounded incoherent. But at least I remembered to make the call.

Note to self: very glad I make lunches before going to bed and that I pre-plan /layout clothes night before…. Don’t waste time thinking/rushing in the morning.

Although I realize my weight loss expectations may be a little high… but I maintain that exercise is the key. Especially at my age! Very happy to report that scale was 1 lb lighter this morning even though I did have a bailey’s coffee when I got home from office before heading out the door to see dad. Did stop off at Metro for sale on chicken ($24/10 pieces is 2.40 a piece) Sticking to having yogurt & berries for breakfast and salad with either chicken or salmon for lunch and/or dinner.

I have already had a cup of coffee & earl gray tea…. Should probably start to limit my caffeine on Friday/tomorrow and continue over the weekend vs today as I know it will also mess with my mind :)

Had a great day at work yesterday and hope to keep up the momentum and enjoy a productive day again today. Tonight I plan to tackle my laundry, ask K to hang a couple of pics and curtain rods as well as visit dad & spend time on treadmill. This will now become my “tv” time :)

And wash and dye my hair and try the old fashioned dippy do and curlers in your hair (or maybe I should wait to Sunday which will soon to become known as Spa Night)
