Body Rockin' - Booty Shakin' - Food Loggin'

I am here to tell you somethin'! You don't have to spend 60+ minutes everyday working out to get stronger. After doing p90x and seeing some of the biggest gains in strength, I was pretty convinced that the only way to see these improvements was to do body weight or ST for over 45 min. per day. And then along comes

How can these people look like this working out so little each day? Is this for real? And all the testimonials, and before/after pics, and the further evidence of success on the spark bodyrockers team?! Wow! And it's totally free? Wow me some more.

So I signed myself up to begin this New Year and participate in the 30 Day Challenge. It has been amazing so far! Challenging, sweaty, difficult, exhausting, and results-filled. I love watching the trainers, I love doing the workouts and geting them over quickly. And the variety - I sing a song of happiness every single day that I wake up to a brand spankin' new workout. I don't care if there are burpees every other day, I just love that those burpees are surrounded by all sorts of different exercises.

These workouts remind me of Crossfit, without having to drive to the gym. And everyone posts their scores, so you can compare yourself to others, which is normally lacking for the at-home workouts. So after 2 1/2 weeks, I am feeling stronger all over! I can't believe I can feel a difference already, only doing 15-30 min./day, but here it is.

I went to my dance class last night at the pole dancing studio. It wasn't a pole class, just a regular dance class, but the level activity of was intense. And 45 minutes into the class the young'uns in there were dropping like flies and I was still going! All those squats I've been doing for bodyrock were really paying off in the bootyshakin' class! I love that I can do a bodyrock workout and not be toast for another activity later in the day.

And I'd like to give myself a pat on the back for logging more days of food than I have in years. Still not at 100%, but I'm eating so much cleaner and it's showing on the scale. I'm not doing great at the 6 small meals/day. I think my meals are still too big for that, because I'm not getting hungry for the next meal in 2 1/2-3 hours like I'm supposed to. But it's just January 12th, I've got lots of days left in 2012 to work this out!

You're doing so amazing already! I don't know why I decided to do the SP bootcamp in the month where I'm spending two weeks out of town. Crazy!

Ahhhmazing! Way to go on logging your food, too - that's something I always know I could improve with.

my plan is to be 30 days behind everyone else. I have to finish rushfit before i start a new plan, but i still watch the videos and think i can do most if not all the workouts (modified for no dip station, sand bag, ugi ball) and will be more than ready at that time

I happened to catch your blog through a mutual SP friend feed... I have never heard of Normally I would be hesitant to try something like that without any kind of recommendation from someone I trust but hearing your feedback makes me want to try it. Can you tell me more about exactly which program you are doing? Did you have to purchase specific "Bodyrock" equipment in order to follow their program?

Agree! I always aim for high-intensity 30-minutes-or-less workout as I think it's much more better, give better result. It's quality we're looking for, not quantity.

My meal plan has me eating 6x a day at roughly 1400 calories for the day and I find that I'm not hungry between meals, either. Rather, it keeps me at a level "sated" feeling. I'm not hungry and when I finish eating, I'm not "full" - at least not what the old me considered full! Since the goal is to keep my blood sugar level throughout the day, I think it's good that I'm not feeling hungry even though my meals are so small.

Rock on, sister!

This weekend I think I'll check out this bodyrock thing. I have a few friends who do the crossfit, but it's just so darn expensive, so I might try my hand at Body Rock first... although I do like working out and people telling me to correct my form.

Glad you are having such great results from your food and fitness in 2012. Keep rocking!
