Thanks for the Teddy Bear Love and odds and ends

Thursday, January 12, 2012

It made me smile. So thanks for that.

Most of this week was a bit rough. Looking for work on top of Bad PMS (not horrible, but bad) on top of being sick on top of having some issues brought up by doing spending significant time with my mentally ill mother (she was/is emotionally abuse, so while I've done lots of work, sometimes doing things with my mother even when she's fairly well behaved pushes well worn buttons).

Today, I feel much better. Sickness passing, in part because I took several days to rest. So I haven't gotten in many fitness minutes, but I remind myself that the long haul allows for days off for illness. PMS has passed, thankfully. Period finally started and while I have mild cramps, physical cramps are easier to deal with than PMS head games. Buttons are no longer pushed down.

The job search is a major pain, but now that I feel better, I have a better attitude about it. Have some more pick up work that pays a bit better than my other pick up job. And am being to produce an event that I will get a percentage of whatever money I raise (I really was meant to be a producer- I love the planning, the money figuring, the networking).

Yesterday, I bought a pair of size 10 pants on sale ($13), and they fit me very, very well, just snug enough to make the spouse happy but not too snug for work. And I bought a fun new top. He was not as into it, but I think it is one of those tops that folks into clothes (which my husband is not) will like. It is on the edge of too much (zebra style black and cream), but somehow I think it works. And the shape is great.

Love the clothes descriptions! I have noticed that the animal print thing is definitely still "in" when I'm at stores. Glad you're doing better.

So glad you're on the mend and have a better project to work on in your pick up job. Hope you don't have to wait too long for something more stable. What a treat to get to enjoy some better fitting, new clothes . . . there's a psychological relief that comes with something new. May it lift your spirits to remain the confident person you are.

Sorry you had a rough week, darling! But congrats on getting through it, on the event-planning gig, and on the new clothes.

Job-hunting requires a warrior's courage. It's a task that tests your soul and carves away unneeded bits of ego. You will emerge from it victorious; this I know!
