I shifted to Saudi Arabia about 2 months ago; when I left home (in Mumbai, India), I weighed about 82 kg, give or take a few hundred grams. I now weigh 77.5 kg or thereabouts. Part of my weight loss could be due to change of dietary schedules and customs, or because I don't get that many opportunities to eat fried foods, mid-meal snacks and endless cups of tea and milk. However, I must give equal credit to my regular - daily evening walks; I usually go out after my last prayer of the day, and in the company of another doctor colleague. The walk is about 4-5 km, and is completed in 60 minutes or a little more time, as we do slow down at times.

I am very happy with my progress, and my aim is to shed at least another 5 kg before September 2012.

    Good on you!
I wish more people could understand that you don't have to spend hours at the gym to see results. Walking is a great way to ease into a regular exercise schedule.

I am eating non processed and swimming. It is working well for me.
