TGI Fridays sucks

Thursday, January 12, 2012

Every Day I eat the same lunches. Healthy Choice, Cafe Steamer. I eat the same two flavors as they are the cheapest at BJ's. Those two flavors are Chicken Marinara, and Chicken Margaretta. All day, every week...the same two flavors

So I ate really light all day b/c I knew I was going out with friends at TGI Fridays. I looked up their nutrition ahead of time, was getting excited as I was only somewhat limited to what I could have and stay within my calorie intake. Well I ordered the "Bruschetta Chicken Pasta". 820 calories, more than I had originally wanted, but still within my 1800/day range. ANYWAY, I get the pasta and It looks delicious. It smells ok, but I'm pushing through.

I grab the fork and the spoon, twirl up some angel hair pasta, snag a little piece of chicken, and down the hatch. AAANNNNNNDDDDD....it was 100 percent the exact same flavor as the Chicken Margaretta. Taste for Taste. I couldn't believe it. I don't know if that says more about Healthy Choice, or less about TGI Fridays. Either way TOTAL disappointment. I had been extra low cal all day looking forward to a dinner out, and I get the same crap I eat every day.

Oh I ate the dinner, I was hungry and it was there, but seriously TGI Fridays, try again. Or maybe I should try again, or maybe I'll just find another restaurant....either way...SAD PANDA at dinner

When I started your blog, I thought you were going to say TGI Friday's in-store menu was different from the one online. That's the trouble I run into with restaurants that post an online menu, such as Rockbottom. Didn't see your real reason for posting coming - wow! Hope you find something better next time.

I like those steamers because the veggies are actually bright-colored. In a lot of frozen "healthy" meals they're all washed-out and grey-ish.

I saw the punchline of this story coming, but it made me laugh anyway.

Try the Mediterranean chicken skewers one time before you say quits. 750 calories but served with a pita bread and a delicious slaw. I truly enjoyed mine. I think Applebees has the best guilt free menu items. One is a 9 oz. sirloin, another is Dijon Chicken with portabellos and another is a Lime Chicken and there are always salads. Wishing you better food next time.
