I have been so sick for over a week now. It started last Tuesday. I still went for my walks at work, and then over the weekend I tried something that I haven't tried in more than a year. I did interval training on my treadmill. I actually felt great even though I was scared about hurting my knees and lower back any worse. I just iced them afterwards. Thankfully they were fine. I thought I would get to continue to try it, but this sickness just has really gotten the best of me. I can barely breathe out of my nose, and that's one of THE WORST FEELINGS IN THE WORLD to me. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I have just been totally congested, and I feel like it's hard to just function normally. I cannot sleep comfortably, and I have just been taking meds. Today I finally went to the doctor, and that crap they gave me hasn't kicked in yet. I am dreading going into work tomorrow because the old building makes it hard for me to breathe. I am really hoping that this crud will let me go so that I can really get on to my regularly scheduled program. I also practiced skating in my garage, but I haven't been too successful b/c the floor is totally different from the floor at the skating rink. Who says I have to skate at the skating rink? I don't know. I thought I would feel more comfortable once I got my knee pads, but as I suspected, they are not large enough for me to secure them (don't tell anyone, but my legs are too wide). I am going to modify them so that I can wear them and be more comfortable with my knees protected when I practice. I tell you that trying to learn how to skate definitely takes a lot of energy. It left me breathless.

One thing I have started back is my green smoothies. They are delicious. I had one this morning for breakfast, and I had one tonight as a snack. I miss doing those. I've already got mine prepared for breakfast tomorrow, so that's one less thing that will be staring at me in the morning.

I wanted to go walking yesterday too, but I didn't do it. Even last night I went in the garage and looked at the treadmill and still didn't walk on it. I'm glad we've gone for our walk today. I feel a little overheated, but glad that we walked.

I hope you get to feel better soon. I wanted to go walking yesterday, but I just ignored that person tugging at my conscience telling me to get up and go. I know exactly how you feel. Hopefully your relief comes soon!
