Hi all, this has been a busy time of the year. Tax season is gearing up-so now working 6-7 days a week. Kinda tough after surgery. Still haven't built up my endurance yet-PT tried upping the exercises and I had to add back my pain meds and could barely move. I talked to them-I have to be able to work (cheerfully too) and if they didn't step it down, I was going to wait until after tax season and start the PT again then. She stepped it down and I am doing better. Meanwhile a couple of people at work have commented on me being taller/standing straighter. So it is helping!
Monday was my 6 month cleaning at the dentist and annual Xrays. There were 4 cavities that were NOT on the Xrays a year ago. Not sure why all of a sudden they are showing up. One is in a tooth with existing fillings and is right next to the root-they think they will have to do a root canal to do the filling. Another one is at the edge of a crown-and may require a new crown. Boy did I hit the bad luck lottery. The only good news is none of them hurt right now.
Tomarrow is my annual checkup with the GP. I have had some leg cramps after PT, so it will be interesting to see if my K+ is low. And the wellness program is sending me things about being diabetic (thanks to an overaggressive dr in the rehab unit) so hopefully my sugar and HgbA1C are all in normal ranges. Always risky after Christmas, but I usually do fine.
I have lost a pound this week that I am taking credit for. Even if my leg is swollen again.
Take care and keep on plugging Fresh Starters! Diana
