Hello there Sparkpeople world,
So it's January 9th, and as of yesterday I started week 2 of Game On with my family, and the SP january challenge.
Week 1 I was full of gung-ho, and was operating purely on that, I think. I played basketball with my husband, sister, and her boyfriend on day 2 and hurt my knee reallllly bad. That put a damper on things - I took the next day off of exercise to rest it, and then have been trying to find ways to exercise without hurting it worse. I did a water aerobics class once, and did a lot of workout videos online. I did a bunch of SP ones, of course, and then also found this youtube channel called Blogilates I think - a woman named Cassey Ho films herself doing the MOST INSANE PILATES WORKOUTS EVER, and she does it with a huge smile and being all perky the whole time.
Food wise I ate at Subway (veggie sandwhiches) a few times and other than that, have only eaten food from home. I've been doing a lot of onion/carrot/spinach/egg substitute in the morning, a lot of weight watchers string cheese, crackers, grapes, carrots and laughing cow for snacks, and drinking 12 glasses of water a day.
I lost weight this week, but not a lot - just about 1.5 pounds.
This week my plan is to keep doing what I've been doing AND - workout a little harder as my knee lets me (Monday/Wednesday nights doing water aerobics, SP videos daily,and lap swimming in between) and to track my food.
Things I can do to help myself with my goals: buy new goggles, eat more fruit and vegetables every day
Things I was proud of myself for doing this week: in addition to the habits I was trying to form, I managed to go out to eat at a BREWERY no less, with a bunch of friends, and I split a dry burger with someone, and had a side of carrots, and did not drink. I ate it slowly, and drank a lottttt of water.
