I have a friend who is a professional Organizer. She is absolutely amazing, and I am in awe of what she does for a living, but if I had to pick one thing that she teaches people that has stuck with me, it is her mantra - Top to Bottom, Left to Right, Focus Focus Focus.
It's meant to keep you focused when you're organizing your space, so you don't end up all over the place and getting overwhelmed. I have taken that mantra and used it even when it really doesn't apply... to me it has become just a tool to keep me in the moment. It reminds me to step back and take a deep breath and remember that I can only do what I can do.
Moving into this week, BLC18 is starting up (Go Cougars!!), my half marathon training plan started Sunday, and I am teaching not one, but TWO kids laughter yoga classes a week at my son's school (sign up was nuts!) starting tomorrow. This weekend is spoken for, because I get to go Ice Climbing and to a Jim Cuddy concert, and the week after I have my oldest son's and my husband's birthday. I am still working on my Power Yoga teacher certification, so I have my daily yoga practice and studying to do, and I want to fit in at least one or two climbing sessions a week (great strength training!). And I haven't painted since early December, and I'm missing that creativity time.
All this is after the regular mom/wife stuff...
Top to Bottom, Left to Right, Focus Focus Focus.
Okay, bring it on!!
