I am entering the third week of following the Spark Meal Plan. It has been a real eye opener to my real habits that have been sabotaging my weight loss efforts. The first week I was starving, used to eating a lot more carbs. The second week my appetite leveled off and I was feeling fantastic. Also during the two weeks I vastly increased my exercise. Now at the end of week two I have been experiencing very flu like symptoms. I am weak, tired, foggy headed, emotional, having massive headaches, sore muscles, night sweats, chills and generally feel dreadful. My husband who is doing this along side me had these exact symptoms earlier in the week. I was quite concerned and contacted a friend who is also on this site and had been very successful with weightloss. She said when we drastically cut out carbs as we have done, these are common symptoms to experience. She promised that this shall pass and good results are in store.
As mentioned before I have in fact lost 30lbs but have been on an 18 month plateau. Being very frustrated, I talked to my Doc about this, she said I had to shock my body into weightloss. So I suppose I am doing exactly that. Last night I had a miserable sleep, massive headache, sore muscles as if electric currents were running through them, night sweats, and a burning sensation in my abdomen. However I woke up jumped on the scale and lost 2 lbs!
I have not seen that number on the scale in years! I think this plateau has finally cracked.
