Today is a much needed rest day for my muscles - giving them some time to relax and repair. I worked them real hard this week. I have big plans for them next week too. Gotta give 'em some time to get ready. I don't want to over-do it or set myself up for injury.
Now that I feel that I have been successful with incorporating getting my butt up and moving into my daily life, it's time to tweak the routine. I have been remiss with doing consistent strength training, so next week I intend to maintain the cardio schedule I've been doing, but also to make sure that I am also doing some strength training.
Everything about sparkpeople is about easing into our new habits. It's how we set ourselves up for success instead of disappointment.
Yesterday was Date Nite with the hubs. I over-ate, but I'm ok with that. NOT that I am rewarding myself with food, BUT... well, yeah, I am. Really it's more about the mentality that everything in moderation is ok. So although I went over my allowed calories for the day, I didn't way over-indulge and lose control. So I'm ok with it. Life is good. :)
