Well I lasted 5 weeks!

I tried! I made ground flax tortillas every day for 5 weeks. And I lost 3 lbs the 1st week. Then plateaued for 2 weeks. Then gained 1.5 lbs. Then another 1.5 lbs! I even started taking Kelp b/c I was told it had to be my thyroid. But nada. ZIP! No weight loss! I did feel less achy but could not stick to such a drastic change without seeing very real success on the scale. I am sure the whole fats and nuts and cheese were the culprits --but Dr. Wheatbelly assured me I could enjoy them in moderation. I didn't even have much in the way of fruit for fear of carbs. Finally I gave up right around Thanksgiving and binged all through the holidays. UG. Back to square one!

I've started taping Dr. Oz and am just trying to eat healthy whole foods, track my nutrition and get my body moving again. So far I've taken off 5lbs pretty easily, so I am feeling better and more hopeful. I am doing my best every day to prepare yummy healthy foods that I enjoy and that really satisfy me so that I am not feeling deprived and then bingeing. So far so good.

I think if I put my focus on feeling good and eating healthy and exercising regularly, I wont be tempted to try every fad that comes down the pike and obsess (and depress) over the scale.

    Sounds like a good plan, GF. I am getting back to basics too and have lost 10 pounds of blubber I gained last year. More to go.
