Hawaii. It was the big motivating factor that led me to lose 29 pounds in 13 months. And it was amazing! Kayaking, hiking, snorkeling, boating, swimming, beach vball, swimming under waterfalls, eating great food, it was all good. A nice break from school and work, for sure!!
After Kauai, I spent a week back home in the midwest where I worked a bit at my old summer job and spent time with family and friends.
Now I'm back to school and back to business. I re-adjusted my goals, since they were all based on the final goal being 150 on 12/25/11. So now my new goal is to lose these last 12 pounds by May 1st. That gives me 4 months, which I think is reasonable for me. I may or may not adjust it to 145 rather than 150, depending on how I feel and look at 150, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it!!
I only gained 0.8 pounds over Hawaii and spending time back home, so I'm satisfied with that. I had a great workout today, so I'm feeling confident I can get back into the groove. I also bought a ton of groceries...fresh fruit, frozen chicken and fish, tuna, salad, yogurt, milk, chocolate almond milk (had a coupon for it...tastes so good!), frozen veggies, whole wheat bread, whole wheat english muffins, spaghetti sauce, cheese, sliced turkey, ....I am so excited to cook tonight, haha.
So my goal is to lose 3 lbs/ month by
1) cardio 30+ mins, 3-5x/week
2) eating at least 3 servings of fruits & veggies/day (a trouble area of mine)
3) drinking at least 5 cups of water a day
Now I'm out to try to pick a few new workout songs on iTunes, with a Christmas $15 iTunes giftcard I got. :) I'm thinking Gym Class Heroes, Rihanna, Flo Rida, Maroon 5, and LMFAO.
