Back from my travels, and today is my last day of my 2-week "vacation" from all juice. When I was on the road the week over Christmas, I drank 1 (purchased, Naked) juice a day and ate normally-- a little too normally with all the temptations

, but better than it would have been. I put on a couple pounds that week, but I expected to -- some of it was real and some just bulk from moving back to food. After returning home I went to mostly juice supplemented with milk, yogurt, and 1 meal a day, and I lost what I had put on and a little more- I'm now down a pound from where I was 2 weeks ago. My "mostly juice" was still mostly bought juice, though-- I've been seriously cleaning & organizing & trying to do a ton of things to launch this year to make some progress at work, and I have gotten out of the habit of making fresh juice several times a day.
Now it's time to get fully back on track (though I think I am going to continue to allow myself to add a bit of lean protein-- but no grains/breads)- time to tackle that next 20 lbs. (40 to go altogether, but I'm breaking it mentally into 20 lb installments

). I have bought myself 3 pairs of jeans and a few really nice dresses on a great sale, none of which will fit for another 20 lbs, and I want to be wearing those by the end of February (well, one of the dresses might take 30 lbs, but I'll get there too).
My ankle still hurts a bit but is usable, so I'm hearing the Y calling (it's been calling all along, but I just haven't been listening-- let's see if I can make a really regular 4 days a week, even if it's 1/2 an hour). My cleaning project has already turned my spare "coatrack" back into a treadmill, so I will have no more excuses on days when I don't want to face a snowy car & roads.
Happy new year all! I hope all of you are off to a great start for the new year-- my goal for the year is to erode my all-or-nothing mindset and persistently practice taking small & consistent steps daily toward all my big goals-- each goal, one actual step per day towards achieving it.
Now time to persist at cleaning those closets & frig....
