I am so proud of myself today. I did so well with nutrition & then ran 4 miles at the gym and lifted 15 lb weights for 2 x 8 reps. Such a great day.
My regular run is 2.5 miles for around 30 minutes, so this was my "long run". As a re-starting runner, that was a big run! My long run used to be 7 miles, so I know it is only a matter of time before I work back up to 60 and 90 minutes runs. Sigh. Wish I hadn't quit running - it keeps me in such good shape.
I can't believe I'm only 3 days in to this. It feels so natural, normal, to be heading to the gym. My hubby is so supportive, even suggesting the reason I was ditching a bunch of clothes was because they are "too big". Not quite. They are just old and I don't wear them. I had to point out that I got rid of all the 'too big' clothes last time. Now, I don't have much left in the closet that fits. Thus, back to the gym. The upside is that fitting into the size 8's will probably be double the fun this time - I don't even have to spend money to wear a smaller size!
At the risk of being overly confident, I think this is going to be an easy challenge.
