Today I managed to walk for 41 minutes outdoors with my dog. I walk at a 3mph pace so that was about 2 miles. It was such a perfect day. It was sunny and 68F with a slight breeze. I had set out to do 20 minutes, but it was so nice out that I decided to go ahead and do 30 minutes, but then it was still so nice and I felt I could do more and the audiobook I was listening to was interesting (Purity in Death by J.D. Robb aka Nora Roberts) and next I knew it was 41 minutes and time to think about cooking dinner!

I also managed to do the Day 5 video of the January Jumps Start Challenge, which was a Pilates workout for Hips and Thighs. I think I will be feeling that one in my right leg tomorrow even though I've done extra stretching to try to avoid soreness.

Not only that but I had gone shopping today as well after getting my allergy shot. So now I am over 10,000 steps for the day for the first time in over a month!

I managed to stay within my calorie and exceeded my water consumption goal.

It's been a great day!

Oh and I made a decision. I weight myself every day first thing in the morning, and I keep track of it, so I can see the nice decline over time. I have been doing this since June 1, 2011 with only a few days missed in between so the line is pretty cool to see. I have been updating my weight on Spark about weekly, sometimes bi-weekly if there was a gain or only a very minor loss. My decision is to only update my weight monthly on Spark so I can see how I did each month. I figure that will be more satisfying than much smaller increments. I can do that at the same time as I put in my measurements.

I want to start putting in a blog much more often, preferably daily to help keep me focused and on track. I found myself withdrawing from SparkPeople and losing motivation and falling back into tired old ruts I don't want to return to. So to avoid that going forward, I *KNOW* that I must have accountability.

Since my last blog on 1-1-12 I have tracked my food daily, drank my water and exercised daily. I have been reading, planning dinners out to cook and been getting caught up on some house work. So I am feeling quite Sparkalicious! =)
