A mini report to keep on track

Wednesday, January 04, 2012

So so glad it's a new year...2011 was better than 2010...and so 2012 will be even better and greater - I know it's a year of breaking out!!!

I am enjoying getting back to sparking and am doing something every day towards a healthier lifestyle. I am actually enjoying doing some cooking - a REAL accomplishment for me! and I am actually realising that I am a good cook emoticon

I am incorporating in more fruit and veg on a regular basis - and working out the logistics of shopping at the market to save some money, and buying fruit and veg for the whole week. I can roast a chicken and make chicken broth in my sleep now.... and I've got a mean lentil and bacon soup recipe memorised.

Exercise not going well yet - still have a major block against the discomfort, and living in a cold, damp, dark climate -- so far walking to public transport has been only exercise...so I will need to begin some strength exercises at home at least. Will report on that in a few days to keep myself honest

I am glad I am managing to recognise all the steps I am taking instead of take the all or nothing approach which I hope to permanently retire since it just doesn't work!

One of my 2012 resolutions is ten minutes a day - that's right, just TEN minutes a day, of exercise.

If I do more, fine, but if I can do that each 'n' every day, I will feel that I've accomplished something.

You are so right! all or nothing usually ends up as nothing! try 10 minutes of just moving. Try dancing to your favorite songs, even just moving your arms! You can do this!
