No matter how bad you feel about yourself, there is always something good. Focus on the good, the positive, and push the negative from your mind."
Sometimes easier said than done! Changing your thoughts is like working a muscle - you gotta keep at it. Practice & repetition are key to mastering anything, including your own thoughts.
Do an exercise with me. Grab a piece of paper & write out a negative thought (& yes, I do mean write it w/ a pen!). Look at it & take a deep breath. Now CROSS IT OUT! Look at it & take another deep breath. Turn it around & write the opposite. Say your new phrase to yourself & celebrate!
