The Promise of a New Year

As I look back on 2011, I see ways to improve in 2012. Somehow the turning of a page on the calendar makes it all seem possible. A fresh slate, a new beginning, a chance to get it right! In 2009 and 2010, I experienced great improvements in my health and fitness. Somehow in 2011, I blinked and it was gone. Travel for work, health issues, things seemed to keep getting in my way. Although I saw it happening, and tried to stop it, I could not. When I lost 46 pounds, I said never again. Yet, here I am! The good news is I know I DID IT before and I CAN DO IT again! It felt so good to hear people comment on my weight loss, and I know those same people are noticing my weight gain, but not commenting! I am determined to have discipline in what I eat and when I exercise, and to spend time on Spark daily. That is what brought me success before and I am certain will do it again. We are planning a June vacation with friends and that is my goal for getting back to my "happy weight!"
