My word for New Years Day was a brand new word I had never heard before.
I'm still researching it, believing it will teach me something about myself, and influence my journey in a positive way.
Today my day began with Laughter. I grabbed my glass of water, (that in itself caused me to smile...no coffee this morning), and toast and proceeded to read Spark Mail.
The water challege is one of the most difficult for me to keep up with simply because I don't like water. I was really proud yesterday when I was able to log 10 glasses for my team. I was so happy I huddled it. The first Spark Mail I opened this morning was from my wonderful friend and team leader FMREES
"I gotta tell you with a smile - when I saw your huddle about "making" 10 cups my mind went to the result of drinking more water... ;-)"
What made this exceptionally funny was, I read it about 4:30 in the morning and it was the 4th time I had wakened to use the facilties. I decided to stay up and spark.
The second SM I opened was from DIANEDOESSMILES, the Motivational Leader of the Spirited Underdogs. I have requested permission from Diane to share the general idea, however I have not heard from her yet. Knowing Diane, I think she would approve, so I'm sharing a nutshell version of the team only challenge she issued to her team.
The Underdogs have taken to referring to themselves as old dawgs and puppies. Without giving away their secrets, I'll just say that we dog owners know dogs need walked on a regular basis to do their necessities.
Diane's challenge consists of this: Dawgs and puppies are to grab their leash, whine at the door and count how many times they need to visit the "hydrant". It was totally hilarious to read it, and had me laughing long after.
Starting my day with laughter woke me up, and made me feel good iinside and out, and I found myself laughing at little things throughout the day. I was so aware of the happiness I felt that It seemed as if I was searching out reasons to laugh.
The actual word of the day that I received in my e mail was truss. I'm so glad I chose the freeing word rather than the binding word.
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones."
Proverbs 17:22 KJV
"Being cheerful keeps you healthy. It is slow death to be gloomy all the time."
Proverbs 17:22 Good News
My heart is Merry my mind is cheerful! I can hardly wait to see what tomorrow will bring. I hope you all will find many ways to laugh in your day!
