Since I'm recommitting to this healthy lifestyle I've been trying to live for the past two years, I figure I should try to do it right this time and actually stop to pat myself on the back for what I accomplish every now and again. My current goal is to lose 45 pounds. I think that when I get there, I probably won't be done, but I'll re-evaluate at that point and decide how much more I want to lose and how I'll go about it. Call it a viapoint on this journey. 45 pounds is a daunting enough goal to start - I don't need to make it worse by saying "Jeez! 45 isn't enough!" And I'm going to try something different this time and break it down into smaller chunks of 5 pounds, each one with a reward associated with them.
-5 -- Bubble bath with my nice stuff (earned but not taken yet)
-10 -- Digital jump rope
-15 -- Hike with hubby
-20 -- Lululemon headband
-25 -- Bike ride
-30 -- Rundies
-35 -- Hike Billy Goat trail (Great Falls, MD)
-40 -- Lululemon "back on track" running skirt
-45 -- 20 yoga classes
I've broken it up basically into alternating products and experiences. Both to save money (so I'm not buying a new toy every 5 pounds) and because experiences are particularly motivating to me. Can't wait to hit 45 and decide where I go next. But first things first - I've already hit 5, now it's time to go for 10 and that digital jump rope!
