No, no, no. Not "ARMS" as in military or weapons.
I mean the arms that are hanging off your shoulders.
How long, you might ask, has it been since I did an honest arm workout?
Good question. Wish I knew the answer!
It's obviously been a long time.
But TODAY, I decided to change that, and did some arm workouts.
I did 30 wall push-ups, slowly, the way we are supposed to do.
Then I did 15 windmills, slowly, to loosen up my shouders.
Then I actually got on the floor and did 30 modified push-ups.
My arm muscles are quaking. They are really out of shape, and are protesting being used again.
But you know how busy we get. Or at least how busy I get.
I convince myself that, because I am doing a lot of walking that I don't need to do the strength workouts. (Actually, I don't LIKE doing them, because I don't get as many points from them.)
But this is a new beginning for all of us, right?
I mean, I have to get in shape so that when that new set of dance workout videos arrive I will be able to do them without collapsing in a heap.
So why not get back on track, and do this thing the way it is meant to be done??
I can't come up with a reason.
So, it is now Holidaze over, and time to become disciplined again.
I will actually do some strength exercises three days a week during the month of January, along with the walking Winnie.
Heck. I just might even get my body into better shape. I just may decide to extend those strength exercises into February.
Remember, I said "MAY DECIDE".
It is an open option, and I like open options.
