2012 Goals

Why put my goals out in the public, to help hold me accountable, that's why. I'm pretty simple really, I don't have all that many and I'm certain these will adjust as the year progresses.

2012 Goals
January my primary goal is to HEAL my performers issue! Taking a little down time. This means I will continue to cross train, fewer (short)runs and add yoga to stretch and help the muscles in my butt heal!

Beyond January, my long term goals are as follows:
-Exercise my Spiritual Endurance

-House Chores Ė with wife in school, I need to step to the plate more
o Laundry
o Cooking
o Cleaning
o Girls homework

-Be a better Husband, father and friend

-Improve overall fitness
o Defined arms
o Defined core

-Practice Yoga as much as possible
o This is a step to help my performers issue go away!

-Grow my personal training client list by a few

-Run at least 15 races
o Focused training
o Fueling body correctly
o Varying from 4 miles to 26.2 miles in length.

-Attempt to eat more fruits and veggies
o (I donít eat many right now due to my pallet not liking texture)

    Have you considered making vegie smoothies? I've seem a lot of SParkers doing that and they seem to get in a lot of vegies & fruits in quickly & painlessly! They say the fruit pretty much hides the vegie flavor in most cases. I haven't tried it yet myself, but it sounds like a super way to get in more freggies!! Just sayin'! emoticon

    I have the EXACT same thing going on with the texture of fruits and veggies dude. To the point I almost swallow stuff without chewing lol. If you figure out a way to get around this PLEASE let me know.

    I am impressed that you are incorporating Yoga into your workout, and more impressed that you make family relationship part of annual goals. That means you are digging into deeper into your mind and soul. emoticon

    You set very realistic goals, Jerome. Hopefully the 15 races will come to fruition if you're able to heal your performance issues. Good luck!
Love that you're stepping up to the plate around the house to help out. Happy wife = happy life! Good for all of you!!! Plus you'll be an excellent role model for your daughters to help out a bit more, too! Teach you children well!!!

  I use to think it was all in my daughters head that there were many fruits and veggies she didn't eat due to the texture, so I just learned to accept that but now I read this and see she is not the only one. Thanks for sharing this bit of information.

    good goals Jerome! i am sure that you can pull all that off very easily! i have a huge list of goals, most having to do with household chores! ripping out of bathrooms, etc. tons of fun!

    I'm a brat, I know.... I read the part about the "girls homework" and thought, "if HE does their homework, will their marks go up, or down?".
Seriously, fantastic list. I can tell you that if you do even one of the things on your House Chores section, your wife will think you're the world's best husband. It doesn't take much to impress us. emoticon

    Sounds like another great year ahead!

I have serious texture issues with fruit. Try a smoothie. I get a banana, apple, pineapple, blueberries and raspberries in there that I would otherwise not even touch!!
