January 2012: ChaLEAN Extreme and Turbo Jam Hybrid Tracking

So in 2012, I want to really focus on being healthy. For January, I want to try to exercise every day. This blog is for my personal tracking of my January plan and progress. I came up with my own hybrid of Turbo Jam (TJ) (Which I've been doing since mid-November) and ChaLEAN Extreme (CLX) which I did my first workout yesterday.

Start Stats (12/30/11):
Chest: 35.5 inches
Waist: 34.5 inches
Hips: 36 inches
Thight: 21.5 inches
Calf: 15 inches
Arm: 12 inches
Weight: 140.8 pounds

Fit Test Results:
Push ups (on toes) = 3 reps
Crunches = 50 reps
Squats = 40 reps
Forearm Plank = 60 seconds
Overhead Shoulder Press = 15 reps at 9 pounds
Bicep Curl = 16 reps at 9 pounds
Sit and Reach = 6 inches from feet

WEEK 1:

emoticon 1/11/12 Wed -Subbed in Group Cycling at the YMCA
emoticon 1/12/12 Thurs - CLX Burn Circuit 3 and Ab Burn
1/13/12 Fri -Took a day off to recouperate
emoticon 1/14/12 Sat - Ran around the hospital moving patients for 6 hours! Included many stairs to the 6th floor.

WEEK 3:

emoticon 1/17/12 Tues - CLX Recharge and TJ Fat Blaster
emoticon 1/18/12 Wed -Group Cycling at the Y
emoticon 1/19/12 Thurs - Cardio Jam at the Y
emoticon 1/20/12 Fri - Ab Jam, CLX Burn Circuit 2, and Run on Treadmill
emoticon 1/21/12 Sat - Cardio Jam and CXWORX at the Y

WEEK 4:
emoticon 1/22/12 Sun - Swim at the Y (sore from CXWORX yesterday!)
emoticon 1/23/12 Mon -CLX Burn Circuit 3
emoticon 1/24/12 Tues - CLX Burn Circuit 1
emoticon 1/25/12 Wed -Ran 5K on the treadmill with a 1% incline
****** on vacation, didn't quite make it through the entire BURN phase of CLX. My goals changed for the month as I prepared for completing a triathlon. ******

End Stats (1/25/12) - prior to my vacation):
Chest: 34.5 inches (-1 inch)
Waist: 33.5 inches (-1 inch)
Hips: 35.5 inches (-0.5 inches)
Thigh: 21.5 inches (no change)
Calf: 15 inches (no change)
Arm: 11 inches (-1 inch)
Weight: 135.4 pounds (-5.4 pounds)

Fit Test Results:
Push ups (on toes) = 7 reps
Crunches = 50+reps (I got bored and stopped because I know I could beat my before by a lot)
Squats = 60+reps (I got bored and stopped because I know I could beat my before by a lot)
Forearm Plank = 65 seconds
Overhead Shoulder Press = 15 reps at 10 pounds
Bicep Curl = 20 reps at 10 pounds
Sit and Reach = 5 inches from feet

Overall, some great results! Especially because I felt stuck on a plateau with my weight loss.
