I had to work today. Business was slow. We only saw 7 patients in 4 hours. My co-worker and I made good use of the time. We got rid of old papers, accumulated junk, organized drawers and generally totally cleaned our little workspace. When we were done we looked it over and both decided that this is an awesome way to start the new year when we go back to work on Tuesday.
We had some great news pertaining to our workspace. Management has finally listened to our pleas to get rid of a set of cabinets that will give us an extra 4 sq feet of free space. That will be done on our day off on Wednesday. This is yet another great thing to have happen to start the new year off right.
I did not make my goal of 50 lbs gone by the 1-1-12. I came very close and am happy with what I have achieved. Looking back I see that I have achieved so much more than just pounds lost. I have gone down about 2 sizes in clothing. I have more energy now that even when I was 20 years younger! I am learning to eat healthier. I've added 2 vegetables to foods I will eat. I've learned to cut back on processed foods.
I have some wants (more than goals) for the next year. My son's family and I are planning on buying a duplex together. That will be awesome in so many ways. I'd like to make the total pounds shed an even 100 by mid August. I would like to have a SparkStreak of something other than drinking water and logging in that is longer than a week. I'd like for my knees to get stronger and more flexible (by doing something like "Kneehab".
I will continue my journey to fitness. That is something that will never end.
