I've never made the losing weight NY resolution, but I am tempted to try it this year. Last year's goal was to exercise "at least a little" every day. I actually stuck to it for about 6 months...then trying to fix the house, finish the MBA, and tie up work before moving took over my life!
After gaining so much weight in the last year, I'm tempted to make the resolution - even though it's incredibly popular and has a pretty bad track record. I think the most important thing might be to remember what started me on the journey to where I am now. Ironically, living a healthy lifestyle and wanting to help others do the same was the reason that I'm here. Being so incredibly unhealthy has contributed to feeling really down. Maybe the resolution will be to reflect a bit each day on why I've started on this path and what is really important. And maybe throw in a little extra activity in there too!
