My dog Rubie rules me, I'm afraid. I've given up my 5K training so that she can come with me for my entire 3+ mile walk. I jog at the park around a 1 mile track instead of the 5K plan. So we walk a mile there, Jog a mile at the park and then walk a mile home. I'm happy to say I can now jog a full mile without stopping which takes me 12 minutes...I go slow...I'm old ya know :). Anyway, I have been trying to drop Rubie's leash and make her jog beside me when people go by and she is doing great at learning this new trick. But today she stepped in front of me and I tripped over her, crashing to the paved sidewalk. I scraped a knee and hurt my hand but kept on jogging. Now that I am home, those injuries hurt more, especially my hand. Hope I didn't break a bone in it.
I have gained 2 lbs over the Christmas holidays...which I am not too upset about given the amount of goodies around the house. It's been nice to know there can be goodies in sight and I don't feel the need to eat them until they are gone! Score a win there! But now that the holidays are over, I need to get back on track. I still have 25 lbs to lose and at my slow rate of speed, that might take me 6 months. But this holiday really showed me how I can't eat much more and get away with it for long.
Plus....I think I might have a new job landed. Wish me luck. It's sales again but selling something that I am interested in that I think helps people and if it's all it appears to be I will feel good about representing them.
