Christmas Eve Celebration

Wednesday, December 28, 2011

This was our Christmas Eve celebration. Our tradition is to have Chicken Chowder, Butterscotch crescent rolls, and dessert This year we had Pecan Pumpkin dessert.

On Thanksgiving we pick names and exchange gifts on Christmas eve. This is GREAT fun!

I got Mary matching jammies from Kohls. She LOVED them! And so much cheaper than buying them at American Girl store. emoticon

Mary got me this ADORABLE ornament since I collect Angels for my gardens in memory of my babies already gone to heaven.

And my husband sent Stephen on a REALLY fun treasure hunt for his Lego books. GREAT, GREAT fun!!

Nicholas got a speaker for his ipod from Jonathan
Nate got a gun cleaning kit from Daniel
Andrew got a new car stereo from Nate
Jonathan got a new hat, 2 shirts and a GREAT nature book from Sammy
Daniel got hunting supplies from Andrew
Stephen got the Lego books
Mary got pj's and a new Christmas dress
Sammy got a COOL car from Nicholas
Mom got the statue
Dad got an AWESOME tool for sighting in his gun.

Such a VERY memorable evening!

THEN when we were cleaning up and preparing for Christmas breakfast that night, we get a KNOCK ON THE DOOR, and it's SANTA CLAUS!!!! The kids 'step-grandma' from the Ukraine came dressed as SANTA and blessed us beyond words with TONS of food gifts and money! Truly the icing on the cake for our splendid night!

More later and much love {{{{huge hugs}}}}

I love the slideshow. Your creativity always astounds me. We had a wonderful celebration with the grandkids in Oregon, but were all so busy enjoying that we forgot to take many pictures!
