the week between holidays

Oh well!! Back in the office in front of this computer.
in the engineering printing service the week between christmas and new years always drags. Most of the engineers, architects, and draftsmen are on vacation so no one is running prints. Printers only break if you use them so here I sit with the candy dish just outside my closet ... closet.... yep I never told anyone but , since I am in service, and usually machine problems are related to supplies or broken parts, my office is actually inside the supply closet !! It is about 12' x 20' room lined by shelves laden with toner an H.P. ink cartridges and some standard ppc maintenance items a phone for me to do software support with and a computer that has all of my service info to advise customers of any actions they may take previous to me dispatching myself to their location. This location can be any where from south Huntingdon WV to north Erie PA --east State college PA to west Zanesville OH . sometimes I go to training seminars in Detroit(Novi) MI Bingham NY and Brighton NJ
But this week I will spend a lot of time in the closet.
this is a church day too! and I was planning on eating very little but when there are only three people working and when the boss is buying and you are broke due to life situations and holidays ,well, one is obligated to eat at Wendy's occasionally.--
That's ok I was starting to feel a little sick I think from being over fed for the last several days
and now trying to cut back dramatically
I think If I go to the gym after work -then church - then just have a salad or something lite for dinner I can bring the day in below 2000 cals
even with 1 grapefruit , 2 jr cheese burger deluxe 1 baked potato w/ sour cream and margarine and 1 8oz regular coke I am at apx 1100 cals
I can have a 500 or 600 cal dinner and still be under 1800 and dont forget I am bound to burn at least 150 cals at the gym even though it is weight lifting day.
on cardio days I burn 650 or more cals --yesterday was 500 on the tread mill alone.
I think christmas went about as well as could be expected. The kids on my side of the family seemed to like their custom made chocolates and assume the same to be true on the other side of the family--chocolate seems to have universal approval - though I will miss seeing the kids this year.
here is a funny story this year. I belong to a small neighborhood gym.
On Christmas eve at 9:30 in the morning I went to the gym and took about a pound of small chocolates with me just to be a smart "rear end". I figured I would torment my tread mill friends .
NO WAY!!! they already had the counter covered in cookies and beer in the bottled water refrigerator .
The Irony of powdered sugar on the elliptical machines was too funny!!!
they were coming over to me to me and saying things like " chocolate! you're just too evil" and laughing !!
