Having a slow day...too much junk yesterday

Monday, December 26, 2011

It's amazing how much salt and sugar effects you when you aren't used to eating it on a regular basis. I way over ate for me yesterday. Even though the scale says I lost a half pound I know it will catch up to me. I am making a new deal with myself today and have promised my body that I will not eat any sugar or salt(as much as I can) for the week. I just don't want to feel so sluggish as I do today. Salt and sugar really makes me so tired the next day.....so enough of that! Today I will be strong.
I can do it.
Hope all my sparks buddies are doing just great and that you all had a wonderful Christmas.
Sallie

yesterday I spent until 3pm in my robe sitting on the couch, I was not hung over in the traditional sense but I did have a total food hang over! Too much fat, salt and sugar! Today is a new day!

I know it is so hard when you are out of your element. I'm sure most of us are dealing with the same thing.

I havew done the same too Sallie.
It is amazing how our body tells us when something
is a no no. You have a great attitude and you will be
strong and keep to having healthy food. Have fun.

I've never noticed that, Sallie. I'll have to pay attention next time I've had lots of salt and sugar and see if it affects me the same way. With you being down a half pound you can't be far off track. Smart to try to do even better! Take care.

the salt was really bad for me too, ham was a big culprit and the cute cookies got me too, I reasoned with myself it's just the couple days out of the year why not? I have the rest of the year to work on it.

emoticon That's a winning strategy, Sallie! When you think about it, everything that adds weight seems to have too much salt and/or sugar in it. And I've found they really do make me feel sluggish, too. The day after my last "hypercaloric bender" was memorable: Even though I don't drink, it felt like a hangover! I don't even want to tell you how much sugar I had had the day before; it would curdle your pancreas ;)

Thank goodness for fresh, new days! I'm growing to appreciate them as much as I did overeating :) Enjoy your day today! emoticon

I, too, found out that overdoing it on the junk leaves me feeling icky the next day. So... today I start back to healthy eating!
