My Sons interpretation of a work out DVD:

Sunday, December 25, 2011

So, I had "workout DVD" on my Christmas list that I gave to my family; We have a kinect and Xbox and I have used Dance Central and Zumba (from older dd not living w us). They are a great way to work out and have fun w the family. I didn't care too much or have a persuasion toward any particular workout...but I did say sports. Any how, what I got was a UFC training DVD. LOL! Only a GUY would get that! But we tried it today (the boys did) and I think it looks do able...challenging, but do able. I look forward to setting it up w my specs.

Here is my other EXCITING gift,

WooHoo!! Totally pumped to be back in the saddle again...took it out today for a spin w my little dd that also got a bike. Will have to get a gel seat for sure again, already felt the soreness. I still have my gel seated bike shorts that I can wear under my pants until it warms up.
What fitness tools did you all get? I wanna hear. After all, we are always looking for ways to STAY in the active zone and YOUR ideas are great! SP is great for sharing our secret weapons.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A WONDERFULLY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

How exciting!!! A DVD that challenges you to stretch your boundaries AND a very cool bike! I'm already having visions of us Sparkers all getting together (after it warms up) for a bike ride on some Saturday mornings. It would be fun to plan a route and go for it ... then go get coffee (iced, of course) and just hang out for a little while.

    Very cool!

Thanks for the thumbs up guys....and Janet that medicine ball kit sounds so cool, especially since It's versatile. I was hoping for some resistance bands too but I'm thrilled w what I got...plus my dd that is still home git a new dance video, so...no excuses this winter!

Ps update on my dad: Dr said he came in just in time, he would have had a heart attack in 2-3 more days...which would have landed on Christmas. ( not a great way to celebrate for him or my mom...or any of us for that matter!) Now he is back home and picking up speed quickly.

Ok UFC training...I can see this!!! Really, call it kickboxing or Ultimate workout and you are good to go!!!! That was a stretch but really, your body will never know WHAT hit it when you do that workout, think of it as the 'anti-plateau' workout!!! And the bike is a BEAUTY!!!! I love it and know what you mean about the shorts and the seat, bike seats are what keep me from riding...

Love you Beth!!!! Merry Christmas and blessings on your workouts! Fantastic!!! Karen

Too funny on the DVD, but love the bike!!!

My fitness gift was a Medicine Ball system by Jillian Michaels. Never seen such a thing! You can make it into a kettle bell, an ab workout, among other things. I still haven't figure out how to transform it! It is an adjustable 6-8 lb. ball.
