I rarely blog; I write so much for school I’m reluctant to voluntarily put fingers to the keyboard. However, I simply don’t understand as the year comes to an end why people do the things they do.

I would think that I’m working with adults that all are employed with a human services agency because they want to help people…. NOT SO!!!

I would think that the employees will have more common sense than the residents who are intellectually disabled…NOT SO!!!

I would think that when a 77 year old man with a severely compromised respiratory system dies of pneumonia in the hospital under the care of a physician it’s not an event to be investigated before the man is even laid to rest…NOT SO!!!

I would think that when all three members of a love triangle are likely to be seated at the same small table for a meal after a funeral, one of them would be good enough to beg off….NOT SO!!!

I would think that someone who walks into my office with a list of 31, yes 31 concerns that she feels warrant my attention on the day before a Christmas holiday, 5 minutes before the office party luncheon is to begin, would spend 3 hours reviewing the list in detail with the hopes of resolving them and not then handing in her resignation effective immediately (did I mention right before a long holiday weekend)…NOT SO!!!

I would think that after 40 years of the same old bull$hit, I would change professions….DEFINITELY NOT SO!!!
