If I had to pick one word to describe my feelings on level 2 of the 30 day shred I would pick "Ouch". If I got to pick one sentence to describe it I would say "Seriously, f*ck you Jillian!!!"
I started out with making a smart decision. Since I know my biceps still aren't all that strong (though much stronger than day 1!), I decided to do the modification on the walk out pushups & just do the walk out plank like Anita did. That is probably the only thing that got me through the other plank positions....because if my arms were any more fatigued then they were already (aka: if I had done the pushups) I probably would have said screw it. I honestly feel like there needs to be a level 1.5 or something, cause I don't believe that level 1 prepared me enough for level 2. It just seems like a huge leap to me. Hmmm...I wonder what moves coming next. Oh a plank something-or-another move. Oh thank god planks are over..I wonder what the next circuit will bring? Oh, yet ANOTHER plank something-or-another move! I can't put into words how a 20-25min video can destroy me so profusely.
On that note... I'm REALLY hoping for big changes by the end of this. I already feel I have gotten smaller in places, but the final pictures at the end will be what I judge my overall changes on. I took some pictures yesterday before I did the day 10 workout so I can post those as "in between" before & after pictures at the end of this madness.
I just thought of another one liner that might be more appropriate to describe level 2 "Planks can kiss my white lumpy a*s!"
This DVD is the definition (for me) of a love/hate relationship for sure
