Feeling incredibly & miserably yucky today

I've caught my grand daughter's cold. She goes to day care (aka germ factory). I can't smell, can't taste, can't breathe except through my mouth. You know the routine.

I'm just going to lie around and let my body fight this. I fought it's coming on all the previous week and obviously lost that battle.

I'll be having soup today. And I'll do just a short run--I always feel better afterward.

But I'm so PROUD of my band of friends and the number of exercise minutes we logged in this week. We ROCKED IT!!

    Yep, chicken soup, and I like to dose up on niacin too. If you haven't taken much niacin, don't start out with more than 200 or 400 mg. If you don't work yourself up with niacin, the flush it produces will not be comfortable. Its benefit is that is opens up blood vessels and increases circulation, which IMO can't hurt the movement of anti-bodies. (It's also good for a sunburn).

    Soup and herbal tea - all count toward your cups of water!! Kick it, Baby.. I know you can! Look at the bright side.. with no sense of smell or taste, certain foods won't be able to tempt you!!! emoticon

    Sorry to hear you are under the weather!! emoticon Soup, lots of water and rest should make you feel like new in a few days. Don't fight the need to rest when your body says rest you do that girl.

    Like my mom says , a cold lasts seven days with medicines and a week without them emoticon
Take care , give yourself a rest and drink lots of liquids , lemon juice with honey is also very good .

    Don't forget to use saline! :)
With 3 kids, someone always has a cold and the saline rinse is awesome!
