Thankful for!

Monday, December 19, 2011

I know, I know Thanksgiving was weeks ago. I did well, just didn't have time to log food and lost my pedometer-which I still have to replace. For the most part, I've tried to keep the vegetable and fruit levels up. Yesterday was not a good day, banana nut bread, even with wheat flour is not the best breakfast, but I had two slices.
I'm back to 154# and am grateful for that.
Now, I know I said thankful for: so I'm thankful for the safe trip to and from Florida for Thanksgiving. Thankful to have been able to attend a friend's Chaplancy graduation with Erik on December 8. Thankful that I had the personal days to be able to do that and spend the 9th with Erik doing what he wanted to do. Renew his passport, get a haircut and buy gifts for his nieces and nephew. How far he's come since last Christmas time when he was angry and wanted NO ONE around. Now he' chastised me for the mess in the house, and the fact that until about 20 minutes ago our tree was not decorated.
I'm thankful for the sparkfriends who did not forget me when I had so much going on with court paper work, 145 speaking and writing performance finals, and 240 projects to grade since the beginning of November. Thankful for the end of the semester. Oh and I am super thankful that we have Spark People and that it is free.
So tomorrow, I'll write some of my goals and my NEW YEARS resolutions. Yep, I've already decided what two of them are going to be, so check in. Wish I could be funny like some of my sparkpeople-maybe I'll work on that too.
Have a nice week everyone.

I am so happy to hear how far Erik has come. The brain is amazing in its abilities and you have certainly made heroic efforts to help Erik recover.

I miss you when you are gone and thankful when you are back. You are such a good cheerleader!!

I hope you have a wonderful holiday!!

So good to read all of this! I am so glad that Erik has come so far since last Christmas. I know last year was so hard for you. You're such a wonderful mother, and I hope you realize that!
I remember a time when you were not sure if Erik was going to recover at all. He's so lucky to have you as his mother, because I know you played a HUGE role in his recovery.

I hope you enjoy your time off from school! And you don't need to be funny, you're wonderful just the way you are!

Hugs,
Beth
