my heart is breaking

Saturday, December 17, 2011

this is my Tara girl...my 14 yr old huskie she is not doing so good...amd I know that before the new year is here she wont be .... we lost our other huskie in oct last year she had cancer at only 8 years old...now to endure a loss at the holidays is heart breaking ...I have pictures of both my dogs on my page...

I am in need of prayers I can endure the pain I am not ready to
yes I have read and re-read the Rainbow Bridge poem with tears in my eyes everytime.

tara went out and laid in the small amount of fresh fallen snow we got over night ...
like she was waiting to just get into the snow ONE MORE TIME ...

knowing her time is near the end
breaks my heart
knowing I still have love to give to her
breaks my heart
knowing my daughter is 1/2 world away, (my kids trained the dogs)
breaks my heart
knowing my husband is more heart broken (he has been home with her while he is unemployed)
breaks my heart

watching her sleep breaks my heart

So sorry to hear about your dog. She is a very beautiful dog. You have my prayers. I know what it is like to lose a pet so I know the feelings. They certainly give us unconditional love.

I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I know how you feel, as we've loved and lost many dogs and cats over the years, each one very precious to us. It never gets easier. She's a beautiful dog. My thoughts are with you. emoticon emoticon

So sorry and I know how you feel - pets add so much to life. My dad's dog is 15 and we are afraid she will not make it much longer and I worry about my dad after she is gone. Bridget literally is his best friend. I'm happy to share my dog with him though and hope that will help. That's one of the great things about them - they have unending love and can always make a person feel better...

I do understand. We lost three hounds within 6 months of each other (two within two months) a few years ago. Never anything but heartbreaking. HUGS!!!! I love the photo of your sweetie in the snow. Gorgeous!

Ohhhhhhhh, honey. I wish I could run over and wrap my arms around you. Losing a loved one is never easy and our furry four legged kids have a special bond and place in our hearts.
It's been a year and a half since I had to let my 18 year old cat go: a year before that was my 14 year old and I still ache.
I will send positive energy your way to help you and Tara make an easy transition.

I feel you pain. I lost my 'baby' in January, just three days after his 7th birthday. He was a beautiful Sheltie I had raised from 4 weeks on. It is so hard to lose these precious members of our family. I offer you this poem:
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I am so sorry--it is ALWAYS hard to lose a pet and especially at this time and when you can see it coming. Know that she has loved you as you have loved her. Be strong so she doesn't suffer. And grieve as you need to--most people will understand. I am so sorry for your impending loss. emoticon
