Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew, this one was a killer, you guys!
Walking out into 35 degrees... "Eeep, it's cold. Maybe I should just go back upstairs and get in my nice warm bed. Brrr brr brr brrrrrrrr..."
One minute into Bodyrocking: "Why is it such a raging inferno out here?!?! IT'S DECEMBER!"
Tonight I did the Ass Busting Workout.
Aptly named. This was REALLY something! I was dying!!!! It was fabulous. Just the kind of workout I really like.
2 minutes of 10/10 intervals, switching between mountain climbers and jump lunges: Tonight was actually one of the first times I've done jump lunges. Until now I have always subbed back lunges. When I started Bodyrocking in August, I could not do ONE jump lunge. I'm not great at them now, but I did do some. I still had to do back lunges for some of the intervals though, because my form just got so terrible.
200 skips with the jump rope: 1:33
2 minutes of torture again
Sandbag sumo squat and knee raise... with 12 lb bag and my trusty looooow bucket butt tapping accessory, LOL: 11, 10, 9,
Bench pushups... trying to get up off my knees, so I am starting to do pushups off the park bench outside. It is very hard, but I have learned the only way to be able to do something is to just starting doing it! 7, 4, 5
2 minutes of torture
200 skips with jump rope: 1:28
2 minutes of torture
Sandbag sumo squat and knee raise: 9, 9, 9
Bench pushup: 5, 4, 5
I just want to take a minute at the end of this blog to profess my passionate and undying love for Bodyrock... I have worked out for years, but I have NEVER been so motivated and I have NEVER stuck with one thing so long and done it so frequently (as in, most days per week). The changes I have seen have been amazing. My abs don't look like much, but they are hard to the poke. I used to hate working my legs because they were so weak, now I'm constantly feeling them thinking, are this hard things mine?! My butt has lifted up so high, higher than it's ever been and my cellulite has lessened considerably. And last but not least, my personal favorite, my arms are looking soooooooo big and strong, I love it I love it I love it!
And the things I can DO now... it's incredible to me, some things I can do now I literally COULD NOT DO only a few months ago. Each day I do a Bodyrock I amaze myself with how far I've come. The way I look pales in comparison to the high I get from pushing my body to my physical limit. I know Bodyrock isn't for everyone but it is most definitely FOR ME!!!!!!
