Eight pounds of fat gone, two pounds of muscle gained.

I have reached the goal I set for myself. That has got to be a first!! Haha! :D I am just so happy! It must have been all the walking I was doing for the three weeks I worked at Sears. I quit that job because it was affecting my sciatic nerve. My job was to walk circuits around the store for 4-8 hours at a time, looking for people to help. BORING!!! Anyway...

My next goal is to lose another eight lbs of fat by the end of January when I next see my doctor. I'll do C25K (walk to run) three times per week, plus 1 hr of yoga on Saturdays, plus 45 minutes walking on Thursdays with my son to do his paper route, plus a minimum of 20 minutes walking the dog every day, plus 3 x going to the gym per week for strength training. That should net me at least eight pounds of fat loss.

Starting on January 2nd, I'll be doing a 28 day Elimination Diet.

It's not for weight loss, but I'm sure it won't hurt!

    Wow, that is so cool! Congrats. You know, wearing a pedometer at the Sears job might have been fun, seeing how many steps you took every Sears day. I'm glad the boring job is over and I hope your sciatic nerve becomes pain-free and quiet again. With all the walking you've got ahead of you, a pedometer could be interesting. The most simple ones, I believe, tell how many steps, how many miles and how many calories have been burned, and they can get fancier and do more tricks. I wear one and track steps and mileage in the fitness tracker. That is wonderful about losing eight whole pounds AND gaining two pounds of muscle at the same time. It's not easy to do both at the same time, in fact, its not easy to do them separately. Kudos.
