Foodmatters (Documentary) Also, Niacin Aids with Depression?

Friday, December 16, 2011

Make food your medicine and medicine your food - Hipporates. The film builds on the premise that the human body can heal itself when given proper nutrition.

Lots of good info in this documentary. Also pointed to niacin as being a huge help in dealing with depression.

And I've heard this before - drink water in the morning before intaking anything else. Lots evaporate during the night.

I really enjoyed this health/food/nutrition-related documentary and have five more planned to watch dealing with a healthier lifestyle.

I have to ask.... When you grow up, are you going to be a nutritionist? :-) My daughter recently commented about how much I just "know" about nutrition and I had to tell her I owed a lot to my friend Jesse who's always blogging cool information!

I always drink a lot of water in the morning. I can feel that dried out feeling.

That's the first thing I do in the morning - a 12 oz glass of water with a squeeze of lemon juice in it. I actually didn't really like lemon juice much, but I've come to enjoy it.
