In my effort to do what other successful SP are doing to achieve their goals, I am writing a blog entry about my progress, as slow as it may be.
Since I have been out of work for the last 4 weeks, I have been able to spend more time at the gym and walking outside which has been a great mood lifter for me. I have lost about 6 pounds too (who loses weight between Thanksgiving and New Years ?!) Eating healthier meals, drinking more water, increasing my walk frequency as well as my gym attendance is really paying off. The food diary has enabled me to increase my awareness of how many calories and grams of fat I actually consume - my portions are sometimes too large and some of my "healthy" food choices are sometimes too high in fat - but I can eat smaller portions and choose lower fat alternatives. These baby steps are accumulating into days, "one day at a time" and I have greater confidence now than I have felt in a long time.
