4 weeks and 5 lbs lighter!

And it's all because of Sparkpeople! 5 weeks ago, I wanted to lose weight and get healthier but lacked all motivation and will power to get started. Remembering how Sparkpeople had helped me a few years back, I decided to get back on and see if I could get "Sparked" into living a healthier lifesytle. It took about a week of browsing and getting reacquinated but eventually the spark inside me got lit. Now, 4 weeks later, I'm 5 lbs lighter and I'm more motivated than ever to keep those numbers on the scale going down.

I'm still enjoying working out at the gym and it's getting easier to get myself to the gym regularly as well. I've been really good about making sure I have my workout clothes with me at work so I can take off to the gym as soon as I'm off and that has been the biggest part of my success. I know me and I know that if I have to go home first to get ready for the gym, I'm not going.

Tracking has also been the other big part of my success so far. I never really knew just how bad everything was that I was eating. I still go over my daily calorie goal pretty much everyday but over the past 4 weeks, my daily total has gone down a lot. Before I ate what I wanted to eat when I wanted but now that I am tracking, I think twice about what I eat because I don't want to go over my daily total!

The baby steps are working and working well. I never thought I would be losing weight over the holidays but like they say at Weight Watchers- "Nothing taste as good as thin FEELS!" I may not be thin (yet) but I'm already feeling great!
