I survived

Monday, December 12, 2011

Not only did I suffer conjestive heart failure in March 2009, I'm a "Breast Cancer survivor" also. I had breast cancer in 1996 & in 2006 I had a mastectomy. So after the chemo & the healing, I had the conjestive heart failure, and I was in the hospital for 7 days. I was taking so much medicine that I knew I had to make a serious change in my diet and daily habits.

I talked to a nurse that was a friend, and not somebody just at the hospital to make money. She gave me a list of foods to eat until I regained my strength, because my heart rate was so low I could hardly do anything, and she told me about "Q 10. Eventually, I started exercising too. I automatically lost weight because friuts & vegtables are a natural food. I was determined to get back to a normal life, so I stuck to my diet, and drank a lot of water. Yoga helped also to relieve stress which is not good for your heart at all. I'm still not as strong as I used to be but, now I'm going to the gym 2 times a week and I feel a lot better.
