emoticon Pies are a favorite in my house. I used to bake frequently. Pies cakes, cookies, we love all of them. They also create havoc with a healthy life style. I planned on baking last Friday but power shopping got in the way. It seemed so easy to bake when I was younger. There was also our daughter and family who helped eat the baked goods.

In recent years I slowed down on the baking. There is just my husband and I now and you can guess who eats most of the baked goods. As long as they are in the house, they call my name. I respond to the call and eat. Since I have been successful in losing weight, I do not want to ruin all the work with sweets calling my name all day long.

Maybe it will be not baking this year. At least pictures are calorie free! emoticon emoticon

    It is okay to bake, perhaps make you and the husband a one portion each cake.. A little now and again can ward off cravings.. Just a thought- we have to eat fruit and dairy products exchange bread for flour and you have half way legal rights to a cake now and again..
