This is taking forever!!

Friday, December 09, 2011

I've hit 65 pounds lost. I'm happy, but impatient. Do you all find, that the closer you get to your goal, the more impatient you become?! Now that I'm so close, I just WANT TO GET THERE!! I'm so close, that each pound seems to take forever (even though it's only a week).

When I started out, every pound was a huge thing. And when I hit 10 pounds I was ecstatic, so pumped to keep going. Same all the way up to 50 plus. But once I hit 60, it's like c'mon...let's get this over with!

I hate being so close, but yet so far away!!!

18 pounds to go until I hit my first goal
28 pounds to go until I hit a weight I'll be ok staying at
and 33 pounds to go until I get back to where I was before getting fat.

Seems soooo far away now!!! Even though I already have 65 out of the way. Strange!

Patience dear, patience! It's the journey, not the destination.

We are not patient creatures. We want it all NOW!! My own comment to you would be to look at it in a different light. There is no finish line. There is no "end". We are in this until the ultimate finish line, so...... know that you are getting healthy and will be living every minute to it's fullest. You are amazing and have come so far, keep up the good work. Doesn't it feel wonderful???

I didn't have as much to lose ... 35 pounds to get to a weight I was happy with, but I had the same thoughts at times. The way I got through it was to just realize that the way I'm eating now isn't a diet. I just started eating the way I need to in order to be healthy, happy with what I eat, yet not overdo it. The weight took care of itself.

Sounds like you are 2/3rds of the way there. That's a big win and a reason to be proud of your progress. :-)
