I ate more calories today but still had a zero cholesterol day. I still ate within my calorie range though which is good! I am fascinated by the numbers on the SparkPeople Nutrition Report. It gives me such a picture of my day.
Smoothies are great but need thickening - so I am trying to overcome something I've hated my whole life - BANANAS! I put half a banana in a smoothie today and it was okay! I ate half a banana. I told myself, "Beth, you are an adult (I'm 44) and there is no reason to dislike bananas." It wasn't too awfully ripe (so it didn't smell too strong) and it blended up pretty well. I felt defiant somehow. I'm not sure why - perhaps for challenging my own conceptions.
And today my mesh strainer with nice handles came and I am excited to be able toer rinse smaller beans and grains. After seeing how dirty they are, I am really trying to take clean eating to a new level!
