Got home before the big storm...

Sunday, December 04, 2011

I got up at 7 AM to start the trek home. I was hoping to make it back before the worst hit, and I did. I did have some icy roads and I had to follow a semi for quite a ways because of the snow fog. Just couldn't pass him. I' m glad I took off early. I think it would have gotten worse as the day progressed. I looked at the radar a little while ago and the storm is hanging right over the city that I was in.

Sleep wasn't the best last night, what with the noise from the heater, but I did get some. I took a quick nap after I got home, then got on the bike for 45 minutes. I also ate pretty well today. I did eat four licorice vines on the drive, but nothing like the day before. Actually I should have eaten more before I exercised. My BS really fell and I had to eat something right away after exercising.

I have a big pot of homemade chicken veggies soup going on the stove and have cut up lettuce salad to eat this week. My prep for a better eating week is on track.

I've also beein watching the Hallmark channel and their special Christmas marathan. Dang, those shows get to me all the time.

Well, I hope all is well with you. It's been a good day for me.

Glad to hear you made it back home before the worse of the storm hit. Great job on exercise and meal planning . . . and the car snacks!!! I love the movies on the Hallmark channel. I haven't tuned in yet this year. I love it when the decorating, shopping, wrapping, baking and so forth is completed and I can sit back and relax with the Christmas movies!

I am so relieved you were able to get home ahead of the storm. You are like me I have to pay attention to the storms so we know just what we can do.
Sometimes I have actually called the MacDonald's In Gorham NH and Barre VT and ask hem how route 2 is looking. They always look out side and let me know. HUGS Pat in Maine. xoxoxo

emoticon Happy you are home safely. I do hope you do not have to make this journey again. I hope not. Pat in Maine emoticon emoticon GOOD FOOD CHOICES really helps Pat xoxoxo
