That title is a mouthful! A week ago I decided I needed to detox, i felt bloated, sluggish and just crappy! So I talked to my doctor and decided to do this low carb raw vegan diet... God only knows what was going on in my mind to be honest! Its officially been a week, and so far, so good.. Only issue.. You have to eat a LOT of fruits and veggies to get your calories in! I decided i was going to continue counting my calories and tracking because im terrified when i get off of this, my body will feel like its starving and go into starvation mode and ill gain 20 pounds.. I just had no idea how many veggies I would have to eat! I cant really cook them (semi boiled is okay), so no oil, or olive oil or anything... just plain ole veggies!
To be honest, im getting a little sick of it.Vegan wouldnt be so bad if I could eat bread, rice, pasta... SOMETHING, but im trying to stay away from that as well! Im a carb freak, its my trigger food, so not eating too much of it is a good thing, and i do look thinner, but man...
I washed a documentary the other day called "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead", about this Australian who went on a juice fast for 40 day (and i thought i was hardcore!) He explained the reason why he juices is because to get his calories in there was no way he could eat all those fruits and veggies, so juicing them was better.. Makes sense! He lost 81 pounds on it, and his disease (cant remember what it was) completely disappeared and he got off all his meds!
Its a great documentary, totally worth watching.. I really dont eat that insanely crazy, i just have an issue with balancing my calories.. I either go way under or way over if i dont track... Though giving me bread and ill eat the entire thing... So I have issues, hopefully doing this is working on some of them!
Im weighing tomorrow, keep your fingers crossed for me! I really hope its an awesome number!! :)
