Miscellaneous Ramblings of a Mad Arizona Woman

Saturday, December 03, 2011

Today has been productive but lazy – is that even possible? The day started with a drizzle; the skies are grey and water is falling out of the clouds . . . what is this? Rain? In Arizona’s desert? A welcome site but since it rarely happens it takes some adjusting. Cancel the yard work, switch to backup plans.

First thing to do – Mammogram! Yes, every year at this time I treat myself and the girls to a little helpful torture. I found out my left breast is slightly larger than my right. Is there a Spark team for this?

Next, on to Hobby Lobby and a bit of Christmas shopping. We bought the 8 x 10 frames for my daughter’s wedding picture and a family picture taken at my sister’s house last spring. It has all of us with kids and spouses so my mom wants a duplicate. Found the frames and headied out to see the In-laws.

I admit I lucked out in the in-law department. I get along great with them so we shared a laugh and some great conversation. Worked out a few Christmas details during fun stories and recipe exchanges. I wish everyone could experience this much fun with family! Then, hugs and we’re off to lunch at . . . Five Guys burgers. Yeah, I know, not a very good idea but DS has been asking for burgers and had never been to FG so we splurged. Shared fries and I had a plain burger. Oh sure there were more healthy options on the menu but I am not very good at depriving myself completely so I chose moderation and a few extra minutes on the elliptical later.

Back home with a smile on my face. DS is napping, I’m blogging and there’s a documentary on the Revolutionary War on the TV – could life get any better? Can’t think of how, I’m blessed!

Good for you - that burger must have been delicious. It is interesting how things are tasting so much better now that I eat slower and don't inhale. Glad you had a great WET day - lol.
We had sun today, hope it finds you soon.
We had homemade Chicken Noodle Soup - was great on a chilly night
