Holiday Milestone

Over Thanksgiving I ate way too much, what a shocker! But I also came to the conclusion and realization that I do not have to eat until I am so stuffed I have to unbutton my pants... wow a milestone...

It made me think of the handout they give you at Weight Watchers about how to assess how you fell weather you are empty or super full. I look at the super full emoticon with its little puggy face looking like it will explode any second and realized I do not have to do that to myself. I like to eat, I love the taste of food and sometimes I never want it to end. That is weird to me. I do not understand that mentality, but I have it. Now I just have to control it.

The other day I was making breakfast and decided that instead of the full breakfast I generally have that has way to many calories, I would cut it in half. So, I had one slice of bread, with a smidgen of mustard and ketchup with my one scrambled egg on it. Skipped the light mayo and the cheese. Had only one cup of coffee with non-dairy creamer. Low and behold, I was not stuffed, but satisfied and saved myself about 150 calories to be used elseware. And I also found that the food held me over until my usual 10am fruit snack. I was not starving at all like I thought I would be.. imagine that! What a milestone!

Food is no longer my master.... it is my servant!

    That's great that experimented with breakfast and found out something you can change for the better! Way to go!!

    It took me awhile to get this concept and work with it. I now believe my stomach has shrunk, and I feel really bad when I eat as much as I used to eat.
I am glad you also have been able to get this down.
